Introduction:
Entrepreneurship is a powerful tool to drive economic growth and create job opportunities. In recent years, the focus has shifted to supporting women entrepreneurs, who face unique challenges in accessing resources and overcoming societal barriers. Evolve Global Solutions has been working towards this goal, helping women develop their skills and entrepreneurial mindset through innovative programmes. Let’s take a closer look at two of their success stories from Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
My Skills Create My Future:
In 2017, Evolve Global Solutions partnered with King Saud University and the British Council in Saudi Arabia to develop an engaging and interactive training programme for female graduates. The programme called ‘My Skills Create My Future’ aimed to help these women prepare for employment or self-employment by developing their soft skills. The project was a response to Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to increase women’s participation in employment.
The training programme was developed with the help of a Senior Lecturer in Business from Chester University and was eventually delivered to 200 female graduates at King Saud University. The success of this programme acted as a foundation for further successful projects aimed at supporting migrant women, women artists, and social entrepreneurs in setting up their own businesses.
National Enterprise Curriculum for Thailand:
Evolve Global Solutions was part of a consortium of UK FE colleges that worked together to develop a new approach and curriculum for student enterprise and entrepreneurship for vocational education in Thailand. The aim was to encourage students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and create their own businesses. The curriculum was piloted and rolled out across Thailand, following approval by British Council Thailand (BCT) and Thai Ministry of Education’s Office for Vocational Education Commission (OVEC).
The success of the programme can be seen in the number of students who have successfully set up their own businesses. The initiative has not only helped students develop their entrepreneurial mindset but has also contributed to the economic growth of the country.
Conclusion:
Evolve Global Solutions’ focus on supporting women entrepreneurs and developing their skills has been a success in Saudi Arabia and Thailand. By providing innovative training programmes, they have helped women develop their entrepreneurial mindset and overcome societal barriers. The success of these programmes is a testament to the power of entrepreneurship to create jobs and drive economic growth.
